John O'Hara is a self-taught artist from Saint Louis whose work is found in some of the most beautiful rooms on Earth. A seasoned, decades long ad man, O'Hara was never far from a brush and canvas. Today, after a wonderful tenure in the world of advertising and founding a few companies along the way, including Forsyth (forsythart.com), he is back in his studio. His art often beckons the question “why so serious?” and always “boring is so boring.” His paintings are fun, extra-large-sized visuals that instantly create a cool environment. When John isn’t pushing paint to canvas, you can find him circling the globe on a stream, saltwater flat or country club pond throwing a fly. Fly fishing, an art not altogether different than painting.
